I’m actually legitimately surprised by all the people who’re giving Dean shit for his reaction in 15x18, and I’ve been here a long time, so let me boil it down even more:
Destiel is the slowest slow-burn love story to ever exist. If you think these two assholes are done confessing their love to each other after one episode then, I’m sorry, but I don’t think you’re really watching the show.
Did you notice at the start of Stevie and Charlie scene? (Who are also destiel paralleling relationship)
Stevie is making food and says “ THE TRICK? LOW FLAME. DON’T RUSH'EM” which upon rewatch made me cackle maniacally.

Acknowledging or poking fun that, (or both take your pick), yes, SPN keeps the audience encaged through the slow burn. The SLOWEST SLOW BURN love story / relationship ever between Dean and Cas. So yeah, i think Dean and Cas are yet nowhere done.
